LuLu Balance Check in UAE: Online, App, Card and Support Methods

The LuLu balance check allows UAE salary cardholders to view the balance of their LuLu Money Card. The available balance on the card can be viewed from the LuLu Money app, via the LuLu Money Cards or My Cards section, and by choosing the card.

The app also features a transaction history and a card activity log, which are useful in case of discrepancies in salary payment and available balance. If you have salary-related questions, you will also find it helpful to understand how the UAE Wages Protection System (WPS) processes wage payments and who to contact in the event of a problem.

What Is a LuLu Money Salary Card?

A LuLu Money Card is connected to LuLu Exchange’s salary-disbursement services. The official UAE FAQ page explains that the card was launched as part of the salary disbursement process for a customer when they are a “MyPay” customer, and they can check their current salary-card balance and track their digital spending via the LuLu Money app.

The UAE’s wider regulatory framework is the UAE’s Wages Protection System (WPS). The Central Bank of the UAE states that the WPS aims to offer a safe and streamlined solution for timely payment of employees’ salaries. Wage data and money are moved from the system to approved participating entities.

This is important as it is not a regular bank current account. The available card balance is the amount of money available to use on the card, and the salary-payment system is known as WPS.

How to Check LuLu Balance Online

The best and only way to check as of now is with the LuLu Money app. An official route for checking the balance is available in the card section of the app, as described in LuLu’s official FAQ.

To see how much your account has, go to:

  1. Open the LuLu Money Application.
  2. Log in to your LuLu Money account.
  3. From the home page, click on LuLu Money Cards, or click on the More tab and then click on My Cards.
  4. If more than one card is linked, choose the appropriate card.
  5. Look at the virtual card at the top of the My Card page.
  6. Look at the Available Balance on the card.

Currently, LuLu’s documentation states that the available balance will be shown on the virtual card in the My Card section.

This is better than entering the card data on an unofficial balance checker site. Balance enquiries should be made on your official LuLu Money platform, as no third party can access your personal card balance on your behalf.

LuLu Money App Balance Check

The application provides more than just the amount in the card. There’s also a “Transaction History” function for cardholders in the official LuLu Money FAQ. Users can view card activity by opening My Cards, then clicking on Transaction History or View All.

The transaction history can be filtered by different periods and transaction categories. There are currently filters for the current day, current week, current month, a custom period, all transactions, POS transactions, ATM transactions, and credit transactions in LuLu’s documentation.

This is helpful if one is looking to understand the reasons for the change in available amount. Rather than simply checking the number on the card, you can check the card activity and see if there have been payments or other activity that would impact the amount on the card.

How to Check Your Salary Card Balance After Payday

In case of salary paid via the LuLu salary card arrangement, the money on the card will be according to the salary payment that’s being processed and credited to the appropriate account or card.

The UAE WPS lays down the ground rules for salary payments. According to the Central Bank, the system is used to get salary information, and the wage payment is made, while disbursement information is received from the agents participating in the system.

If your employer indicates the salary was processed but you don’t see the amount on the card, then check the card inside the LuLu Money app first. Also check the transaction history, as this will help indicate if the credit has been added or if another transaction has impacted the available credit.

If the salary hasn’t appeared, then ask the payroll or HR department at the employer to verify the payroll. If the problem is related to the card or LuLu account, you can contact LuLu Exchange via its official customer-support page.

What to Do If the Balance Is Not Showing

The absence of, or unexpected, balance does not necessarily indicate that the salary has been lost. There are various reasons that can lead to a wallet that is not in balance as you had hoped.

Look for the following first:

  • Ensure that you are viewing the right LuLu Money Card.
  • View the most recent credits, payments, or withdrawals in Transaction History.
  • Check with your employer that the amount of money has been paid properly.
  • Ensure that your LuLu Money account is in good standing and your necessary KYC details are current.
  • Please seek technical assistance from official LuLu support in case the amount in the account or on the card is not correct.

According to LuLu Money, UAE users have to sign up using their email address, mobile number, and Emirates ID; in addition, the KYC process is incorporated in the registration process. If further verification is needed, customers will also have to go to one of LuLu Exchange’s branches with their Emirates ID.

Can You Check the Balance Without the App?

The most obvious officially documented way to see the current card balance is the LuLu Money app. The available balance is also clearly indicated in LuLu’s FAQ, which explicitly refers to LuLu Money Cards/My Cards.

Currently, there are some websites in the UAE that are providing instructions for SMS balance inquiry, checking balances using an ATM, etc., from third-party providers. But not all of these instructions have been officially confirmed in LuLu Money’s current official FAQ in the UAE.

This is why this article isn’t offering an officially guaranteed SMS shortcode or an ATM balance fee. Details of such services may vary, and I cannot guarantee that all third parties’ published methods are available for all LuLu cards.

In case assistance is required outside the app, do not use an old phone number or an unofficial site; use the existing official customer-support number of LuLu Exchange. It is possible to find out that the business you are talking to is LuLu’s by calling 600 522 204 from the UAE.

LuLu Balance Check Through Transaction History

It is not always the quantity that is the issue. The more important question is what induced the balance to shift.

Cardholders can access their Transaction History from their My Cards section in the LuLu app. According to the official FAQ, users can search all transactions by date and transaction type.

For instance, if you were expecting a salary credit that is not available, check the list of transactions before going to support. The difference may be due to a recent purchase, an ATM transaction, or another debit.

The app also offers an alternative to getting a transaction statement. LuLu’s official FAQ states that users are able to select a standard period (e.g., last month) or a user-defined period of time and then view and download a PDF statement.

Difference Between Available Balance and Salary Amount

It is not necessary to assume that the amount of the salary and the available balance are equal.

Salaries are the amount that gets credited in the relevant payroll process. The available card balance is the funds that are still available to use on the card for transactions. If there have been any transactions made since the salary was credited, the available balance might not be the same as the amount of the salary.

That’s why it’s good to review the transaction history along with the balance. It offers a better explanation of the derivation of the available amount.

The Central Bank’s WPS rules also differentiate between information regarding salary payment and the amounts held on the payment-account level. WPS payment service providers must make payments and issue transaction statements to the WPS Payment Account Holders.

LuLu Money Card and WPS

To understand LuLu salary cards in Dubai, UAE, the Wages Protection System is a crucial component for people to know.

WPS was adopted by the Central Bank of the UAE in 2009 to aid the timely and secure payment of employee wages. It facilitates wage communication and the payment of funds from the employer to the participating payment agents via employees.

Additionally, the Central Bank has stipulated that payment accounts can be opened through eligible payment service providers as part of the WPS regulations. Participating providers are required to comply with the rules’ security and operational requirements, in addition to issuing statements of transactions to the Payment Account Holder of WPS.

That’s what is responsible for this difference in regulation—and why payroll cardholders need to be careful to separate the payroll process from the card interface that accesses their pay.

How to Check Recent LuLu Card Transactions

The LuLu Money app also offers a more in-depth approach to checking the money that you have, rather than just the amount available.

Tap the My Cards section and select Transaction History or View All. You can then check the transactions of the card. LuLu’s official FAQ includes filters for the current day, current week, current month, and/or custom dates and all transactions.

An individual transaction can be opened for detailed information. The app has a Raise Dispute button if you can spot a transaction you don’t recognize. According to LuLu’s official documentation, the customer is able to pick the appropriate transaction, pick the dispute option, and provide information.

Is LuLu Money the Same as LuLu Exchange?

Yes. According to LuLu’s official FAQ in the UAE, LuLu Money is the digital platform offered by LuLu Exchange. Customers can obtain financial services digitally via LuLu Money and also services at LuLu Exchange branches.

But the LuLu brand offers other types of services. A LuLu Money Card, a remittance transaction, and a LuLu Hypermarket shopping or loyalty service should not be assumed to be the same financial product.

Salaries-card users refer to the card balance that appears under the card displayed in the LuLu Money application.

LuLu Balance Check Security Tips

Only put financial data into official channels. A balance-check search can retrieve third-party websites that solicit card numbers, PINs, OTPs, or other personal information from visitors.

Don’t provide these details to anybody who says they can check your balance on your behalf. LuLu’s official FAQ offers LuLu’s support path and also clarifies how accounts are secured and so forth, and how several functions are carried out using OTP.

These are some simple precautions:

  • Only use the official LuLu Money app or LuLu’s official website.
  • Don’t post your PIN or OTP anywhere online.
  • Don’t provide your complete card details to strangers.
  • Contact official LuLu customer support for assistance when there is a problem with the card or account.
  • If you think you’re being charged for an unauthorized transaction, check the transaction logs and dispute the transaction as needed.

When to Contact LuLu Support

It’s important to reach out to official support when the app cannot solve the problem, card data seems incorrect, you are not able to log in to your account, or you are looking for assistance with a transaction.

The current support section of the UAE FAQ from LuLu Money has the number 600 522 204 available for contacting LuLu Exchange for verification. It also offers its customer care email as customer support, which is customercare@ae.luluexchange.com.

If the issue is with the pay and not the card, then communicate with the payroll or human resources department of your employer as well. The employer is in control of the payroll submission, and the payment provider carries out the payment of wages in accordance with the relevant WPS agreements.

Conclusion

You can access your LuLu balance check by logging into the official LuLu Money app, which will show you your current LuLu balance, your recent transactions, and any salary crediting. Open LuLu Money Cards, My Cards, select your card, and read the amount on the card.

Check your account if the balance is not the same as you had anticipated, and confirm payment of salary with your payroll department or employer. If the card issue is not resolved, please reach out to LuLu Exchange customer support via official channels.
